History

Boondocks Technical Solutions started in 2018 when our founder, Jonathon “JT” Kern, tried to work from his in-laws' house with their outdated and slow internet. The connection would freeze drop, and after 90 minutes and kicking everyone off the router, he finally completed got his work. A simple task should have taken him 10 minutes. This inconvenience begged the question, "What speeds are they paying for, and why is it so slow?".

JT started with a simple speed test to verify their true speeds, which was appallingly slow. He then looked over their bill and saw how they were getting charged an exorbitant amount of money for dismal speeds. He sat down with his in-laws and told them what he found, and they were surprised that they were paying so much for so little. But, his in-laws didn’t have the time, energy, or know-how to get started finding a better internet provider. So instead of complaining to their internet company for the 20th time, they decided to do something about it.

So Jonathon started researching different internet providers available in their area and trying to find the one that would provide the best speed for the price. After a few days of research and finding the best solution for their property. He made several phone calls with his in-laws to the old and new internet companies to ensure they got everything they needed to set up their new connection. This is how Boondocks Technical Services was born, and it’s our mission to help people make a better choices with Technology and show them that they always have options.
